(Valgetaehe teenetemaerk). Instituted on 7 October 1936. A gilded silver double Maltese Cross, with white-enamelled arms, with gilded ornaments between the arms, the centre obverse presents a white-enamelled six-pointed star, the reverse centre presents the foundation date 7 X 1936, measuring 66.10 mm (w) x 68.73 mm (h), weighing 51.2 grams, on flat loop for suspension from period original neck ribbon, accompanied by the breast star, constructed of a silver, six-pointed star, the obverse centre presents the white-enamelled badge of the Order, without the rays between the cross arms, the reverse presents dual stays and a principal pin assembly, measuring 73.73 mm (w) x 82.86 mm (h), weighing 109.8 grams, and in very fine condition, accompanied by the presentation case of issue, constructed of dark-red leatherette, the interior lined with white satin, presenting the tag for maker Roman Tavast, Tallinn, with a dark-blue velvet slotted medal bed, with intact covered hinge, with a functional clasp, measuring 14.5 cm (w) x 25 cm (h), and in good condition.
