A gilded bronze Maltese cross, with black-enamelled arms, the obverse centre displaying a silver eagle holding a sword in its talons and the Estonian coat of arms, with three blue lions on a silver shield, the reverse presents the Latin inscription PRO PATRIA on the three upper arms of the cross, the round central medallion shows the date of foundation 24 II 1928, measuring 55.46 mm (w) x 55.39 mm (h), weighing 32.85 grams, with a semi-circular suspension loop connecting the badge to the period original neck ribbon, and in extremely fine condition. Accompanied by the original presentation case of issue, constructed of dark-red leatherette, the interior lined with white satin, presenting a white velvet medal bed, with an intact hinge and cover, with a functional clasp, measuring 10.8 cm (w) x 13.8 cm (l) x 29 cm (h), and in very fine condition.
