What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

1. Belgium, Kingdom: Victory Medal (Medaille de la Victorie). Instituted in 1991 (in bronze, engraver marked "PAUL DUBOIS" on the obverse, measuring 36 mm (w) x 42.2 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, replacement ribbon);

2. France, Third Republic: Military Medal, Type III with Uniface Trophy-of-Arms (Médaille Militar). Instituted in 1852 (in silver gilt with blue enamels, hallmarked on the obverse, measuring 26.5 mm (w) x 44.7 mm (h) inclusive of its trophy of arms suspension, intact enamels, replacement ribbon);

3. France, Third Republic: Combatant's Cross (Croix du Combattant). Instituted in 1930 & 1941 (in bronze, cornucopia hallmarks and marked "BR" on the reverse, measuring 35.8 mm (w) x 36 mm (h), original ribbon);

4. Italy, Kingdom: War Merit Cross (Croce al merito di guerra). Instituted in 1918 (in bronze, measuring 37.7 mm (w) x 42.5 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, original ribbon);

5. Serbia, Kingdom: Commemorative Medal for the Great War 1914-1918 (Spomenica na rat 1914-1918). Instituted in 1920 (in bronze gilt, measuring 39 mm (w) x 40.2 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, vintage incorrect triangular ribbon).
