What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

2. Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure, Breast Star Miniature (two-piece construction, in bronze gilt with red, white and blue enamels, measuring 27 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), clip attachment);

3. Lapel Badge (in blackened copper wire, in various textures, with red embroidery, white cotton backer with pinback, measuring 39 mm (w) x 49 mm (h));

4. Shoulder Board Bearing a Cross (in silvered rolled bullion wire, red felt upper, black woll sides and underside, with two safety pin attachments, measuring 47 mm (w) x 105 mm (h));

5. Large Medal on a Chain (in aluminum, illustrating a cross bearing a knight's helmet, measuring 79 mm in diameter, on a 480 mm long multi-link chain);

6. Seven Assorted Crosses (one with a two-piece construction, five with a three-piece construction, one with a four-piece construction, two mounted to an eight-pointed star base, in bronze or metal, with red, white and/or blue enamels, ranging in size from 46.5 mm (w) x 46.2 mm (h) to 69.7 mm (w) x 69 mm (h), five with a pinback, one with a screwback, one suspended from a fleur-de-lys icon, one is missing its centrepiece).
