Three-piece construction, insignia in gilt and silvered bronze, illustrating the Finnish lion backed by the white rose of Finland, mounted to a cross-shaped base in silvered bronze with blue enamels, measuring 37 mm (w) x 36.7 mm (h), maker marked "BARCK HELSINKI" on the screwback, intact enamels, scattered silvering wear evident on both sides, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Reserve Officer School Badge was instituted and has been in use since 1948, the badge worn on the middle stitch of the left breast pocket of the uniform.
