A rare and sought after order with eagle, crown and ring in silver, displaying a pleasing tone that comes from age, an ornate floral decor also in silver is mounted in front of period blue enamels with vertical striations; with a symbolic ring of iron mounted carefully within the silver structure; a gold bust mounted centre obverse; badge measures 35mm (h) inclusive of ball ring; 47mm (h) including loop; 23mm (w); and common with awards of the period, some enamel loss from crown does not detract from the impressive nature of this award; stands in near extremely fine condition.
