Die-stamped brass, two-piece constructed disk measuring 42 mm in diameter, illustrating two leaders that died in 1894, one side illustrating the bust of Russian Tsar Alexander III (1845-1894, reign: 1881-1894, died from terminal kidney disease = nephritis), the other side illustrating the bust of the Fourth President of the French Third Republic Sadi Carnot (1837-1894, in office: 1887-1894, assassinated by an Italian anarchist), the disk surmounted by a four-piece constructed shield, the Russian side of the shield bearing the Russian two-headed crowned eagle coat-of-arms, the French side of the shield bearing the bust of Marianne surrounded by the inscription "REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE 1885", the shield surmounted by a four-piece constructed ornate design bearing the bust of an angel wearing a winged helmet on both sides, measuring 117 mm in length overall, with a multi-link chain terminating with a fob at the top, bruising evident on the disk, near extremely fine.
