A Scarce Second War FFI Free French Resistance Brittany Badge - Tin, with red, white, blue and black paint, "FFI" designation in white over a horizontal tri-colour band and the Lorraine Cross in powder blue below, flanked by crosses on the outer ring, the inscriptions "BRETAGNE" (Brittany) above and "FINISTERE" (Region of Brittany's West Coast) below, the initials "JO" scratched on the reverse, 45 mm, four holes for uniform attachment, contact marks, very fine. Footnote: This badge was made in Brittany (Finistere) during the Second World War from tin expropriated from food cans, then painted accordingly.
