Bronze gilt, in the shape of a straight-armed cross paty, illustrating a nude man, his back to the viewer, a German eagle in the background, the man's right arm raised and grasping the neck of the eagle with his hand, inscribed "JOURNÉE DE POILU 1915" below and engraver marked "R LALIQUE" (René Lalique) at the lower left, 34.5 mm x 34.5 mm, horizontal pinback, scratch on the left arm on the obverse, light sticker residue on the reverse, near extremely fine.
