Croix de Guerre (War Cross): In bronze, "1914-1915" reverse, measuring 37 mm (w) x 45.5 mm (h) inclusive of its ball suspension, silver star replacing five bronze stars on a replacement ribbon, extremely fine. Accompanied by a Citation Document named to Telephonist MarcelFrançois Bedabourg, 21st Battery, 230th Artillery Regiment, 72nd Division (illustrating a cluster of French flags at the top, plaques on either side inscribed "Honneur" and "Patrie", the War Cross at the lower left, inscribed "4e ARMEE / 30e CORPS / 72e DIVISION / 230e REGIMENT d'Artillerie / Citation à l'Ordre de la Division / Le Général Commandant la 72ème Division, cite à l'ordre Bedabourg, Marcel, François, NCal des Logis 21ème Batterie, 230ème Régt. d'Artillerie No matricule 03031. Motif de la citation: Téléphoniste a l'E. NC. du Groupe. Fait l'administration de tous par sa bravoure et son dévouement. Ne manque jamais de diriger et d'accompagner les équipes de réparation qui doivant opérer sous les plus intenses bombardements. S'est est particulièrement signale par sa conduite les 13, 14, 15, juillet / EXTRAIT CERTIFIE CONFORME : AUX ARMEES, je 27 juillet 1917. / Le Lieutenant Colonel Comt. le 230ème d'Artie.", with the Lieutenant Colonel's signature and the 230th Artillery Regiment Lieutenant Colonel's stamp below, printer marked "Nancy, Imp.
