France, I Empire. A Bust of Napoleon Bonaparte Statuette
In solid bronze, illustrating the bust of Napoleon Bonaparte wearing a sash running from his right shoulder diagonally across his chest, along with the Order of the Legion of Honour on his left breast, the tips of the accompanying breast star partially protruding from under his jacket, his hat worn in the traditional "en bataille" style (that is, with the corns parallel to the shoulders, while most of his officers wore their hats "en colonne", that is, perpendicular to the shoulders), the bust supported by a pedestal base bearing his monogram consisting of a crowned "N" on the front, a magnetic metal plate placed upon the bottom, measuring 89.3 mm in width x 53.5 mm in depth x 155 mm in height, light contact and spotting, better than very fine.
