(Ordre des Arts et Lettres, Chevalier). Instituted in 1957. Five-piece construction, in silver with green and white enamels, cornucopia hallmarked and marked with the number "1" on the edge of the arm at 6 o'clock, measuring 38.5 mm (w) x 38.5 mm (h), intact enamels, original ribbon, extremely fine.

Footnote: The Order of Arts and Letters was instituted on May 2, 1957 and is awarded for meritorious services in the field of the arts and literature, in three grades: Commander, Officer and Knight.
