(Ordre National de la Légion d'Honneur). Type IV (1830-1848). In silver, a white enamelled Maltese cross with ball finials, green enamelled oak/laurel leaf segments in each quadrant, the obverse medallion in Gold features the right facing portrait of Henry VI, surrounded by a blue enamel ring inscribed HENRI VI with floral décor below, the reverse medallion in Gold presents two enamelled French crossed flags, surrounded by a blue enamel ring inscribed HONNEUR ET PATRIE, the cross is surmounted by a large crown with blue enamel details, marked with a rabbit head on the reverse 6 o’clock ribbon tassel denoting Paris manufacture between 1819-1838, measures 44.5mm (w) x 64.3mm (h), weighs 21.2 grams, worn on a replacement red ribbon, chips to several tips of arms, notable small chips to the reverse of the green enamel wreath, worn on a replacement red ribbon.
