Third Empire Army Officer's Gorget: insignia in copper, illustrating an eagle standing upon crossed axes, with a ribbon banner inscribed "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAIS" along with two hands clasped together below, the insignia measuring 53.5 mm (w) x 49.5 mm (h) and secured in place to a brass plate gorget via two prongs, the gorget with die-holes at either end, both holes housing gold-coloured bullion wire studs with matching ties, the reverse with a supple white leather liner, the gorget measuring 142 mm (w) x 56.5 mm (h).
2. Second Empire 19th Army Infantry Helmet/Shako Plate: in die-stamped brass, unmarked, illustrating an eagle standing upon a large ball, the ball with the voided number "19" and centering an arms consisting of arrows, laurel leaves and oak leaves, measuring 133 mm (w) x 127.5 mm (h), intact screwpost, the leather backer slightly soiled and partially peeling away from the body of the gorget.
