A French West Africa Dakar Industry and Crafts Award 1966-1968 to Ambassador Karl Wolf
Bronze gilt, marked "BRONZE" on the edge, obverse illustrating a map of Africa, with crosshairs marking the city of Dakar on the west side, a plane above and inscribed "DAKAR" below, a ship and dock crane illustrated in the area of the South Atlantic Ocean, a factory on the map of Africa, surrounded by the inscription "CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE D'INDUSTRIE ET D'ARTISANAT", reverse illustrating the City of Dakar coat-of-arms in the centre, flanked by icons representative of the country of Senegal, a lion admiring a star on the left and a baobab tree at the right, engraved "M. L'AMBASSADEUR KARL WOLF" (Ambassador Karl Wolf) above and date inscribed in Roman numerals "MCMLXVI-MCMLXVIII" (1966-1968) below, 74 mm, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, recessed medal bed, light contact on the exterior, case also extremely fine.
