What's a max bid?

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

1. First War - War Cross 1914-1918: in bronze, dated "1914-1918" on the reverse centrepiece, measuring 37 mm (w) x 45 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension.

2. two Crosses of Military Valour: in bronze, cornucopia hallmarked and marked "BR" bronze on their reverses, measuring 35.2 mm (w) x 36.3 mm (h) each, original ribbons, one bearing a palm branch. 

3. five Ministry of Labour and Social Security Honour Medals: 

(i) I Class Gold Grade Honour Medal: in silver gilt, engraver marked "A. Borrel" on both sides, dual cornucopia hallmarked and marked with a "1" between the cornucopias, along with being engraved "P. TROUVÉ 1964" on the reverse, measuring 27 mm in diameter, large rosette affixed to its original ribbon. 

(ii) four II Class Silver Grade Honour Medals: in silver, engraver marked "A. Borrel" on both sides, dual cornucopia hallmarked and marked with a "1" between the cornucopias, along with being engraved "M. BOUCHER 1951", "R. BIGAS 1958", "R. DESCHIETERE 1959" and "P. GUILHEN 1960" on their respective reverses, measuring 27 mm in diameter each, original ribbons.

4. Ministry of the Interior, "Acts of Dedication", Bronze Grade Honour Medal: in bronze, engraver marked "O. Roty" on the obverse, reverse engraved "SASSAIGNE FERDINAND 1896 1898", measuring 27 mm in diameter, original ribbon.
