In silver gilt with blue enamels, dual cornucopia hallmarked and marked with a "1" between the cornucopias on the obverse, measuring 27.3 mm (w) x 46 mm (h) inclusive of its trophy-of-arms suspension, chipping and repair evident in the blue enamels on the reverse centrepiece ring, small chip and scuffing around the "F" in "FRANCAIS" on the obverse centrepiece ring, original ribbon, fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, marked "MÉDAILLE MILITAIRE" on the lid, inside lid in white satin, base with a medal bed in maroon felt, scuffing and wear evident on the exterior, fraying in the fabric overlying the hinged area, case also fine.
