Military Medal, Type III with Uniface Trophy-of-Arms (Médaille Militaire). Instituted in 1852 (in silver gilt with blue enamels, measuring 26 mm (w) x 45 mm (h) inclusive of its trophy-of-arms suspension, loss evident in the blue enamels on the reverse centrepiece ring, original ribbon with dual prong pinback); and Cross for Military Valour (Croix de la Valeur Militaire). Instituted in 1956 (in bronze, cornucopia hallmarked and marked "BR" (bronze) on the reverse, measuring 36 mm (w) x 36 mm (h), original ribbon with dual prong pinback, in its box of issue). Very fine and near extremely fine, respectively.
