An interesting and possibly unique award commemorating the French participation in the Boxer Rebellion; consisting of a diamond shaped medal in silver, obverse presenting a hand carved Chinese stylized dragon, reverse with raised hand carved lettering CAMPAGNE DE CHINE 1901, measuring 43 mm (w) x 64 mm (h - inclusive of integral ring), with replacement ring and loop with mid 20th century ribbon, toned silver, near extremely fine.
