Third Republic (1870-1951): Silver gilt with red, white, blue and green enamels, dual hallmarked on the loop, hallmarked on the tip, 55.8 mm x 83 mm inclusive of its wreath suspension, on a full-length neck ribbon, chipping evident in the blue enamels on the obverse centrepiece ring, repair to the blue enamels on the reverse centrepiece ring, crazing in the white enamels on one reverse arm, fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "A. Krétly PALAIS-ROYAL PARIS" on the inside lid, lightly soiled recessed medal bed, wear evident in the fabric overlying the hinged area, scuffed exterior, case also fine.
