Gold with green and white enamels, weighing 16.2 grams, hallmarked, 39.8 mm x 53 mm inclusive of its wreath suspension, large rosette on an original ribbon, chipping and crazing evident in the enamels throughout, fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, marked "LEGION D'HONNEUR" and "OFFICIER" on the lid, maker marked "LOUIS AUCOC FILS PARIS" on the inside lid, lightly soiled medal bed, wear evident in the fabric overlying the hinged area, wear evident on the exterior, case near fine.
