A plated nickel magnetic double edged centre ridge blade, the ricasso bears the inscription “ETS SABATIER JEUNE BELLEVUE-THIERS” (YOUNG SABATIER BELLEVUE- THIERS), with a simple brass crossguard with squared quillons, the reverse of the ferrule bears a U-shaped bracket for securing the portepee, the portepee is black, the grip is constructed of squared wood wrapped with a black fine grained leather, pommel is constructed of brass and is squared, measuring 370 mm (total length), the scabbard is squared and constructed of wood wrapped with black fine grained leather, with squared brass fittings with brass eyelets and hanger rings, measuring 290 mm, very fine.
