A fine matching pair of slip-on style shoulder boards; constructed of matt silvery coloured Russian braid, and edged by camp guard’s Waffenfarbe piping superimposed on a black wool base; with a gilded rank pip on each board (boards are magnetic because of the flat iron inserts in the center of the boards); measuring 106 mm x 33 mm; with a single Totenkopf tab; in shiny aluminum-silvery flat wired embroidery in the shape of a standard SS skull; on a black wool backer; edged on all four sides by a silvery twisted threaded piping; with a standard buckram core; measuring 55 mm x 43 mm; overall, worn but very fine condition; scarce
