Germany, Waffen-SS. A Set of Hauptsturmführer Rank Collar Tabs

A well preserved set of Waffen-SS Hauptscharführer rank collar tabs, consisting of a left and right collar tab - the left collar tab displays two strips of fine aluminum silver bullion tresse, decorated with a black string running horizontally through the tresse, with three silvered aluminum ranks pips oriented diagonally on the board (all prongs intact on the reverse); on a black wool base, and with a silver braided cord on all four sides of the tab; standard buckram backer; measuring 57 mm x 43 mm; the right collar tab displays a set of hand-embroidered SS runes in silvered aluminum bullion wire tightly wrapped around a white fabric thread; on a black wool base; with a silver embroidered cord on all four sides of the tab; standard buckram backer; measuring 57 mm x 43 mm; non-matching but nearly identical; in extremely fine condition.
