An absolutely mint and perfectly preserved example of a SS-Totenkopfverband collar tab; first pattern; constructed of extremely fine quality flat silver aluminum wires spun around a thin white fabric core; hand embroidered into the shape of a traditional SS skull superimposed onto a set of crossed bones; on a black wool backer glued onto a standard buckram core; Officer's quality tab but without silvered piping, as often worn by the NCO's; measuring 54 mm (w) x 40 mm (h); in absolutely mint condition.
