Germany, SS. A Rare Waffen-SS Artillerie-Abteilung 867 Russian Campaign Plaque, with Case

(Waffen-SS Erinnerungsplakette). Constructed of porcelain, the obverse bearing a raised oval with a central German national eagle overlaid by a Flak 88 with its barrel raised, above an inscription of “SS. ART. ABT. 867”, circumscribed by an inscription of “ZUR ERINNERUNG AM DEM EINSATZ GEGEN RUSSLAND” (“IN MEMORY OF THE DEPLOYMENT AGAINST RUSSIA”), on a glazed rectangular porcelain slab, the reverse bearing an unidentified maker’s mark, measuring 114 mm (w) x 145 mm (h), the unglazed portions display slight discolouration, accompanied by its period original case of issue, constructed of card stock, measuring 124 mm (w) x 163 mm (h), a rare plaque in overall extremely fine condition.
