A rare early set of SS-Totenkopfverbände 1st Sturmbann Sturmmann collar tabs, including an insignia tab, constructed of black wool with a buckram core, trimmed with interwoven black threaded and silver aluminum wire piping, the obverse bearing a hand-embroidered silver aluminum wire Totenkopf above a number “1”, the reverse retaining a fully intact Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) label with a maker’s code of “A4/166” and a secondary code of “035342”, measuring 40 mm (w) x 55 mm (l), in near extremely fine condition, and a rank tab, constructed of black wool with a buckram core, trimmed with interwoven black threaded and silver aluminum wire piping, the obverse bearing a single silver aluminum wire tresse bisected by black threading, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 55 mm (l), in extremely fine condition.
