Type 3 (1940). Machine woven embroidered cotton SS runes on black velvety backing,with standard buckram backing; with two threads running vertically on reverse, RZM tagged on the reverse, stand-written “118” and numbered “No. 202916”, measuring 39.76 mm (w) x 52.62 mm (h), mint. These early tabs circa 1940 with "A" prefix and hand written number were worn exclusively by the members of the "Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler". Very scarce.
