In die-struck bronze; unmarked but these medals were produced exclusively by Deschler of Munich and Petz & Lorenz of Unterreichenbach; measuring 38.01 mm in diameter; weighing 23.5 grams; very fine quality manufacture with very fine details; the obverse in German “Für Treue Dienste in der SS” (For Faithful Service in the SS); the reverse with a crips swastika with an oak leaf-wreath with the Waffen-SS insignia in the center; with correct replacement ribbon; faint contact marks but overall near mint condition.
Footnote: The SS long service awards were first introduced by Adolf Hitler on January 30, 1938, and according to predominant historian Christopher Ailsby, the awards ceased to be warded at the end of 1941.
