Germany. A Mint SS 8-Year Long Service Award in its Presentation Case of Issue
(SS-Dienstauszeichnung). A bronze circular medal; the obverse bearing a static swastika, with a set of SS runes within an oak wreath; the reverse depicting the numeral “8”, with “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS” (German - For Loyal Services in the SS) superimposed on the medal; on a double loop suspension; with its period original ribbon; unmarked, but these medals were produced exclusively by Deschler & Sohn of Munich and Lorenz of Unterreichenbach; measuring 38.10 mm in diameter; weighing 23.4 grams; accompanied by its presentation case; constructed of cardstock with a faux leather (leatherette) exterior; the exterior of the lid embossed with a set of SS runes; measuring 44 mm (w) x 102 mm (h); in overall extremely fine condition.
