(SS-Dienstauszeichnung, I. Klasse für 25 Jahre). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938-1941). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension, consisting of a swastika with ribbed arms, the obverse overlaid with dual central Sig runes, within a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SS”), unmarked, measuring 37.50 mm (w) x 42.09 mm (h), weighing 24.7 grams, age-appropriate material wear evident, in overall better than very fine condition.
