Germany, Wehrmacht. A Pair of Auxiliary Armbands
(Armbänder). A pair of auxiliary service armbands, including a Volkssturm member’s armband, constructed of red and black cotton base, the exterior bearing a white inscription of “DEUTSCHER VOLKSSTURM WEHRMACHT”, flanked on each side by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 180 mm (l) x 60 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; an auxiliary stretcher bearer’s armband, constructed of white cotton twill, the exterior bearing a dyed black inscription of “HILFS-KRANKENTRÄGER” (“AUXILIARY STRETCHER-BEARER”), within a rectangular black frame, unmarked, measuring 200 mm (w) x 130 mm (h), with some soiling evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
