Germany, Third Reich. A Pair of Armbands
(Drittes Reich Armbänder). A pair of armbands, including a Reichsbahn example, constructed of green cotton, the exterior bearing a black ink inscription of “REICHSBAHN”, topped by a blacked-out NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the interior with a further black ink inscription of “DEUTSCHE REICHSBAHN” and a partially-obscured Russian Cyrillic inscription, unmarked, measuring 190 mm (w) x 100 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a Werkluftschutz Air Raid Warden Leader example, constructed of red cotton, the exterior trimmed at both the top and bottom with white cotton bands bearing a central white felt letter “W”, unmarked, measuring 180 mm (w) x 100 mm (h), moderate soiling evident, in overall very fine condition.
