Germany, Third Reich. A Pair of Medical Auxiliary Armbands
(Medizinisches Personal Armbänder). A pair of medical auxiliary armbands, including a German Red Cross (DRK) Dinslaken Regional Women’s Association armband, constructed of white cotton, the exterior with a central machine-embroidered red Geneva Cross, circumscribed by a dyed black inscription of “DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ KREISFRAUENVEREIN DINSLAKEN”, unmarked, measuring 160 mm (l) x 125 mm (h), with soiling and material fatigue evident, in overall very fine condition, and; a Wehrmacht auxiliary stretcher bearer armband, constructed of white cotton, the exterior bearing a dyed black inscription of “HILFS-KRANKENTRÄGER” (“AUXILIARY STRETCHER BEARER”), stamped with an illegible Wehrmacht district mark, measuring 196 mm (l) x 85 mm (h), with extensive soiling and material fatigue evident, in overall fair condition.
