An Exceedingly Rare German Heer Spanish Civil War Campaign Cuffband 1936-1939

A seldomly available to the market Heer Issued Cufftitle in fine gold-coloured machine woven wire threading inscribed "1936 Spanien 1939" in old style calligraphy, with full-length rules flanking the inscription on either side, on a madder red ply cotton base with a diagonal weave in the centre and a second intricate weave on the exterior bands. Measuring 30 mm x 180 mm, lightly soiled from period wear, otherwise extremely fine.


Footnote: This cufftitle was instituted on June 21, 1939 and awarded to members of the Armoured and Signal Units of the Legion Condor, which served in the Spanish Civil War on the Franco side. These included: Anti-aircraft units, Panzer crews and Luftwaffe crews. A COA will be provided with this item by eMedals Inc.
