A Deutscher Pfadfinderbund Belt Buckle with Sun Spiral

Two-piece construction, silvered brass insignia affixed to a brass base, marked "PATENT" on the raised clip and "D.R.G.M." (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster) on the prong bar, 37.8 mm x 53 mm, very light contact, near extremely fine.

Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001. This buckle came from the personal collection of John R. Angolia, the author of "Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich, Revised Edition".
