Buckle in die struck aluminum, with matte silver finish and polished swastika, by Assmann, marked on reverse with company logo and “DRGM 37”, extremely fine condition; attached to 48mm wide belt, approx. 95cm long, constructed of woven silvery alternating pattern of SS runes and oakleaves, edged by black and silvery threads on each side, all stitched to a field green wool backing; a fine quality belt and buckle, in slightly worn condition, with very minor imperfections, overall in extremely fine condition. Footnote: effective 13 February 1939 police officers with SScommission were permitted to the wear of the SS leader’s brocade dress belt pattern, but with green backing. A very good example of such brocade belt and buckle.
