Germany, Heer. An EM/NCO’s Tropical Belt and Buckle
(Heer Tropen Gürtel und Schnalle). A Heer EM/NCO’s tropical belt and buckle, the former constructed of a khaki-tan canvas web material, one end stitched into a loop to accommodate an integral magnetic metal clip, the opposite end retaining a reverse brown leather tongue perforated with seven sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 890 mm (l), in extremely fine condition; the buckle constructed of dark grey-painted magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) and oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 64 mm (w) x 49 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
