Germany, Heer. An Officer’s Tropical Belt and Buckle
(Heer Gürtel). A Heer officer’s tropical belt and buckle, the former constructed of khaki-coloured woven canvas, measuring 107 cm in length, one end bearing a reverse tongue with sevens sets of reinforced eyelets, marked “110” in black ink, the other end stitched around a buckle, constructed of olive drab-painted aluminum, the obverse with a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, inside of a round oak leaf wreath, with reverse loop and clasp, with a free-moving double-prong clip also attached to the belt, the buckle measuring 50 mm in diameter, all in extremely fine condition.
