1. An Imperial Heer EM/NCO’s belt buckle, constructed of partially-silvered brass, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) and laurel branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the latter retaining an original leather strap stamped with a maker’s mark of “GEBHARDT, TEMPELHOF”, a date of “1917”, and a Bekleidungsamt acceptance mark, measuring 62 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. A Wehrmacht Heer EM/NCO’s belt buckle, constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, the latter stamped with a partially-legible maker’s mark for a Lüdenscheid-based firm with a date of “1936”, in addition to a unit mark of “11./J.R. 79” (11. Kompanie, Infanterie-Regiment 79), measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
