A Private Forestry Official’s belt buckle; two piece darkened stamped aluminum; known as the “Type II” version, introduced on April 22, 1938, and meant to be worn with the type “B” dress tunic by private Forestry Officials who were charged with protecting private forestry preserves; oval unadorned pebbled dome surrounded by an oak leaf wreath with a bow at the base; unmarked; near extremely fine condition.

Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
