Germany. A Pair of Belt Buckles
(Gürtelschnallen). A pair of belt buckles, including an early Stahlhelm buckle, constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a central raised Stahlhelm, overlaying a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; a National Forestry Officer’s belt buckle, constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a raised Government-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, within a semi-oval oak leaf wreath and on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip and buckle, the reverse maker marked with the logo of F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, measuring 55 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
