Polished aluminum, marked with the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) insignia and maker marked "M4/22" (Christian Theodor Dicke) on the reverse, with paper tag printed in red ink and stapled to the belt loop, marked with the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) and Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend) insignias, inscribed "Koppelschloss Nach Vorschrift der RJF", "Hersteller" (Manufacturer), stamped in black ink "M4/22" and numbered "323535" and marked "H", 48.5 mm x 64.7 mm, with original paper wrapper, extremely fine.
Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001. A similar buckle is illustrated on page 305 of "Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich, Revised Edition" by John R. Angolia and came from his personal collection.
