Die-stamped steel with a field gray finish, magnetic, likely of wartime production, marked with the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) insignia and maker marked "4/79" (Hillenbrand & Bröer, Lüdenscheid) on the reverse, 48.8 mm x 64.7 mm, scattered surface wear and contact marks, better than very fine. This particular buckle is illustrated on page 275 of "Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich, Revised Edition" by John R. Angolia and came from his personal collection.
