Belt is fabricated from a thick leather with a smooth finished black upper, smooth finished dark brown underside, very flexible, a tab stitched in place on the underside with a smooth finished dark brown upper on the right end, the tab with eight rows of two holes each for length adjustment, the pair of holes beside the area where the tab has been stitched to the body of the belt having been added by the owner, emboss stamped "85" on the underside of the belt at the tip behind the tab, silvered aluminum receiving clip on the left end, the clip secured by the strap where it wraps around to the reverse and is stitched in place, emboss stamped with the "MAX KOBERST LANDSBERG" maker mark, date stamped "1939" and stamped "LBA" (Luftwaffe Bekleidungs Amt = Airforce Clothing Department) on the termination point of the strap, emboss stamped with the unit mark, the first part of which has faded but "Regt. 13 / Neubiberg" remains legible, the belt measuring 43 mm x 1,050 mm. Light crazing and wear evident on both sides of the belt from active use. Better than very fine.
