Constructed of blackened magnetic metal, reverse with loop and attachment prong, obverse bearing a richly-detailed fire gilt design featuring a swooping central Condor Legion-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, topped by inscription “L.C. 88”, flanked by dates “1936” and “1938”, on top of inscription “IM KAMPFE GEGEN DEN BOLSCHEWISMUS IN SPANIEIN” (“IN THE STRUGGLE AGAINST BOLSHEVISM IN SPAIN”), within ornate border, unmarked, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near mint condition.
