Germany, Luftwaffe. An Enlisted Personnel Belt Buckle, by Noelle & Hueck
(Luftwaffe Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of olive-drab painted magnetic metal (tropical version), the obverse bearing a central raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika over a pebbled background, set within an oval laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment prongs retaining a period original brown leather strap, both the buckle and strap maker marked with the logo of Noelle & Hueck, Lüdenscheid, with the latter also bearing an embossed manufacture date of “1942”, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with minor loss of finish evident, in near extremely fine condition.
