Germany, Luftwaffe. An Officer’s Belt and Cross Strap
(Luftwaffe Zweidornkoppel). Constructed of pressed brown leather, one end stitched into a loop to accommodate a silvered zink alloy buckle with dual claws, the opposite end perforated with seven sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, with a reverse leather tongue perforated with four wide slits set into the centre and two additional sliding brown leather loops retaining metal rings, unmarked, measuring 6 cm (w) x 112 cm (l), accompanied by a matching cross strap, similarly constructed of pressed brown leather, adjusted with a functional buckle and culminating in each end with a functional spring clip to lock onto the belt’s sliding loops, unmarked, measuring 2.5 cm (w) x 74 cm (l) as presented, demonstrating minor material fatigue, a matching set in extremely fine condition.
