An Organization Todt Belt Buckle and Matching Belt; Published Example
Buckle in die stamped steel, magnetic, with aluminum paint finish, 62mm x 47mm, with “Org. Todt.” Control mark in circular format stamped under the roll bar; attached to a black leather belt, 46mm high, reverse stamped “O.T.” (Organization Todt) in three places, also stamped 90 (90cm for length), in extremely fine condition; (belt illustrated on p.346 of Angolia’s book). This is only official type of buckle adopted by Org. Todt. Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
