A Rare Slovakian Freiwillige Schutzstaffel Leaders Belt with Buckle

Offered here is a rare combination for the FS-- Freiwillige Schutzstaffel of the ethnic German community in Slovakia, that was their equivalent the German Allgemeine SS. Buckle in silvered metal, unmarked, illustrating a right-facing eagle with its talons clutching a shield bearing a swastika, inscribed "EHRE" above and "BLUT UND BODEN" below and surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves on the right end, the buckle measuring 48 mm. Belt is fabricated from a thick leather with a smooth finished black upper, raw underside, magnetic silvered metal receiving clip on the left end, a tab with a smooth finished brown upper stitched in place on the underside of the belt, the tab with six rows of two holes each for length adjustment, with an additional smooth finished black tab wrapped around the receiving clip on the reverse, inscribed "110" in black ink on the underside of the belt near the left end, the belt with one slider and measuring 45 mm x 1,095 mm. Surface wear present on the buckle, surface wear evident on the smooth finished black upper. Better than very fine. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
